Alaskan Benchrest Gunsmith
Hey all,

I am looking for a BENCHREST quality gunsmith here in Alaska. I am relatively certain there is not one in Fairbanks. I have heard that there is a man in Anchorage. Does anyone know anyone? Thanks!

He's the well known BR smith in Anchorage.

Yup, a real nice guy too. One of only three shops my wife will go into. She went in once 'cause I kept drooling about all the cool toys he had set up. He pulls down this single shot pistol, Candy Apple Red (her favorite color), with a barrel about 1.5" diameter and 18" long. Showing it to her, pulled out his target and showed her one of his bugholes at 200 yards. She was impressed. He then gave her a complete, guided tour of his machine shop, carefully explaining what each machien did and how he used it.
Like I said, she was impressed.
Does good work too.

I should warn you, he will only build a rifle with components he deems worthy, don't waste your time argueing with him over it either, that's just the way he is. [Wink] He's definitely a perfectionist, and you'll pay top dollar for everything he works on too. He is a chatty fella. [Smile]
