sccm1Glass Bed Recoil Lug ?
I am getting ready to glass bed the action on a Browning A-bolt and wonder if what about the recoil lug.
Should it not touch anything on stock or should be be glass bedded as well ?

butchlocthat is one of the things you are bedding the action to do

Glen71The rear surface of the recoil lug should be in firm contact with the bedding. Otherwise, the barreled action will move rearward and split your stock.

dempseyPut a layer or two of tape on the front and sides of the lug. I'd read up on the process and get a good understanding of what's being accomplished by glass bedding. It can make things worse if done poorly or worse if you can't get the metal out short of a hatchet. I'll see if I can dig up a link or two.

sccm1thanks for replies, I have been reading up on a few articles but could never get a full understanding about how to do the recoil lug.
This is my first time at doing this, so want to do it right.
