rifle vibration?
My dad has a savage 116 in 300 win mag and after you shoot it the whole rifle vibrates for about 15 seconds ( kind of like a tuning fork) has any one ever heard of this and what can be done to correct it.
Thanks

Sell it and buy a Winchester.

I had a friend who had a bow that vibrated really bad before the shot. I think its called buck fever.

As for your Savage tighten the screws and then check the bedding if still vibrating.

Take it apart and put it back together again.

Hopefully this will alleviate the situation by the screws and stress points changing position.

It might not hurt while you are checking the guard screws and bedding, to make sure the barrel nut is tight.
