T/C encore trigger work
Where can I find information on tuning the trigger on a T/C Encore? A friend got one that has an OK trigger but it tips the scales around 8lbs of pull. I've done work on others but never a T/C.

Thanks

Try here.

Caveat emptor. I am not saying it is safe or not. My daughter's was adjusted by Bullberry, but Mr. Bellm does have instructions at the site linked above.

Edit: Malm beat me too it -- I spent too much time on the caveats. Big Grin

Thanks, we really just want to bring it from like 8 lbs down to 3-4 so a simple spring exchange may be all that is required. May hone some surfaces if they look bad but it really ain't all that rough, just heavy.

My local gunsmith doesn't believe it's a good idea to work on T-C triggers. He declined to work on my T-C Classic 22, as the "trigger is MIM, and the surface hardening goes only 0.007" deep. And that goes for the Encore, too," though I didn't have an Encore with me. He believes they'll clean up okay, but slowly fail as the softer metal blow the surface gives way to shooting pressures. FWIW.
