OldCenterChurchWeatherby owners..
I have been trying to find some hex-head/torque screws for my Weatherby Accumark and Super Varmintmaster and have had no luck. I have checked Midway and Brownells and can't find any there. Does anyone have them on their rifles? If so, where did you get them? Any suggestions? I've buggered-up the slot head screws that I have and I would also like to replace them so I can get a torque wrench and set them all to the same ft/lbs.
Thanks,
Clay
Brownells sells hex head screw blanks, and, 1/4 x 28 dies. Why not make your own.

Alberta CanuckHave you tried contacting Weatherby's? I wouldn't be too surprised if they would just send you a few....especially if you casually mention owning several Weatherbvy rifles and how much you like them.

OldCenterChurchmalm, I have seen the blanks and am assuming the dies are what threads the blanks. I know absolutely nothing about that sort of stuff, but maybe the folks at Brownells will explain how to do it.
AC, Weatherby can send me slot head replacements only. So said the lady I spoke with. Maybe someone in their custom shop would be a better person to speak with.

eddieharrenIf your rifle takes 1/4 x 28 screws then, Rem screws should work. You can also get nearly any size/pitch screw you want from MSC.

PlanemechA 1/4-28 cap head internal wrenching screw is easy to find, your local hardware store will have them. I would avoid the dies and blanks as these are readily available fastners. You may also try and industrial supply house near you.
