700 trigger pull weight spring

Anyone have a source for a longer and lighter spring? The factory spring has little preload at weights approaching 3lbs. A little spooky.

Springs of the same diameter and coil spacing but with smaller diameter wire are availabe from MSC. Packets of 5 or 10 are less than $5. Lengths can be had from the same as Rem and up to 1" long, mabye longer. Rem uses springs with wire of .024 and larger. Springs are available with .020 and .016 dia. wire.

Miller makes a "spring kit" that includes a lighter trigger return and bolt release spring.

Brownel's has 'em.
