Marc_Stokelda couple of early sporters
For some reason I got the urge to pull the stocks off a couple of early sporters to look at the inletting the other night. Both were bought for the actions several years ago and have only collected dust since I got them. The Mauser is a G33/40 (with correct and matching bolt) and the other is a low numbered Springfield.
The Mauser is good work overall and top notch inletting. Only problem with the rifle is it was not whiskered and has obviously gotten wet over the eyars. But the inletting is very good:

Marc_StokeldSpringfield sporter has a left handed cheekpiece. Inletting is "ho-hum" at best.
