Remington trigger replacements
Just a reminder that there are two ongoing recalls for certain XMP and all Walker trigger M700, M7, XP100, 710, etc. Make sure you go to the Remington website and register. You will be sent a box and a pre-paid shipping label. These end in April 2020, so there is a time limit.

Yeah.....instead of properly maintain the excellent walker trigger then you get the crappy x Mark pro.......

I sure wish I could get my hands on a few of the walkers.....they are getting hard find.

Is there a web site or a Remington publication that describes maintenance necessary to avoid having it fire when releasing the safety?

Replacing with a Timney would be and is what I have done. Anybody with the tiniest of mechanical ability can change the trigger. Drift out two pin, remove trigger, insert Timney, replace pins. Timney triggers come needing little adjustment and the adjustments are easy. Yeah! It will cost you about $100 but you'll have a safe rifle with an excellent trigger.

Totally agree with Timney replacements. They are on my Remingtons and Savages. Some
say there are better triggers out there, but if you are used to no better than a
factory trigger, you will be well pleased with a Timney.

+3. On the Timney.

I replaced the terrible X Mark trigger on a 700 XCR II rifle I bought a few years back. Couldn't have been easier to do and a much better trigger now.

Where do you get Timneys for $100, with the bolt release and safety?
