lawndartBolt Handle Welding
Can anyone recommend a shop or smith that can weld a new handle on my CZ 416 Rigby as pictured below?

lindy2Doesn't specifically list CZ on his site but you could ask.
http://www.accu-tig.com/Try dpcd here on the forum. He was great to work with and did a fine job.
I sent accu-tig an email about a new bolt handle for a ZG-47.
I was trying to be clear - not a pest.

David,
Seems that I have more questions than you have answers.
I’ll pass.

And David Kim was great to work with as well and in no way did his communications lack clarity.
I do not have an accutig. I have a regular TIG. Don't know the difference anyway.

Pretty much been my experience with Accutig with anything other than M14 gas cylinder unitizing and minor Remington 700 bolt handle work. Sent several Mauser bolts with clear pics from his website, as per instructions, and had them returned with same type answer.

lawndartThanks for that information.
Not a great spot for sleepwalking.

robert lernerMaybe contact Wayne at CZ American hunting rifles. He reworked a CZ for a friend, quick turnaround and my bud was pleased with the work.

lawndartThanks for that idea. Wayne won't weld bolt handles on CZ's. Said the metallurgy was unfavorable. He likes bending the stock bolt handles, and filling in the hole with whatever he uses. He does do excellent work. I really like his synthetic stock.

BobsterI sent Accutig 2 AMT pistol magazines to be welded. Turned them around and back in 7 business days to SC. They had to make a custom heat sink for the thin metal. Perfect job.

ColoradoMattI believe I once owned the rifle in the picture. Tom Burgess bolt handle installed by Tom Burgess. I don’t know anything about the metallurgy or CZ bolts, but Tom seemed to not have any issues. However, I guess that was to be expected of Tom Burgess.

lawndartYes, that was typical of Tom. I think I have found someone to do the job. I should have an interarms stock for a pattern, and will send that plus two blanks

I have had many done by Dan at Accutig.com. Great work, inexpensive, and very quick. He may not always have the personality of your favorite lady, but is very good and honest. I can provide a lot of photos!
