lawndartRe: Sako barels?
Yep,
They hammer forge them. They use a pretty hard alloy, and beat the crap out of it. The resultant barrels are accurate, but have more stress than a neurotic soccer mom. Smiths who bore out rifle barrels for a living refuse to work on Sako barrels. Their tooling gets eaten up pretty quickly. So sayeth the semi-popular gunwriters at
Rifle and
Handloader. I've never been to Finland, or to a rebore shop, so I don't know that for a fact.

michauxiiWhat type of rifling process does Sako employ for their centerfire barrels?
