FAST996Custom Rifle Build question
I have barreled actions that are done. They are polished out at 320. My stockmaker won't be ready till end of March and my engraver can do the work I want now.
Is there a problem with having the engraving done before the gunstock?
I plan to have these rust blued so I expect they would need a final polish before. The engraving would be minimal and the sights on the barrel would have a stippling treatment with a border.

ForrestBYou put up with Satterlee's bullshit for years and now you're worrying about a couple of months on the schedule? Your stocker can work a lot faster without having to worry about the engraving getting dinged.

butchlambertI would never do engraving and finish before the stock is finished. ForrestB may be a SOB, but he ain't an old SOB.

Toomany ToolsDon't even think about having it engraved before stocking. Only one work for it: STUPID!
