Front swivel stud....should it move??
The front stud on my wood M70 is not fixed, and moves around with the sling in place. Sometimes after walking a bit I noticed that I have to tighten it a turn...should the stud be fixed, or are they supposed to move? I was thinking of epoxying it in place, but thought I would check with you guy's first. Should I use epoxy or wood glue? Thanks

The front swivel stud should not move. If it is the wood screw type stud, toss it and install the machined stud with the backing nut.

To quote my gunsmith: "If it moves, it's trouble." I advise several gallons of judiciously-placed JB Weld. That'll fix that bugger.

Make it DON'T move!
