Don SlaterAction screws
I have a slight problem. I'd like hex-head action screws for my Kimber M-89.
No one makes them! I bought a bag of blanks from brownells. Who can/will make me some screws? (3) Is this difficult to do?
Where to look or who to contact?
Advice appreciated!

FjoldBuy the correct size thread die and some cutting oil and do them at home.
All you need is a vise to hold the screw blank and a handle for the die. Carefully line the die up square on top of the blank and thread the die on. Use plenty of cutting oil and turn the die 1/4 turn, rotate it back 1/8 of a turn to clear the chips and repeat until you get the correct thread length.

OMJIf the blanks from Brownells are 1/4" diameter, you will have to turn them down before threading to 6mm.
