I have a project I am doing and I am looking for a scope and base like the ones in the photos below. (I borrowed the photos from a previous post by Prewar70)

If you happen to have one available or know where I can get my hands on the scope and base I would really appreciate it.

There was one on GB for a zg47 recently. I don't believe it sold.

I sold one of the earlier ones off a Brno 21H I stripped for the action, it had a little Meopta scope with it. These are fairly common here in Canada, but, I agree with Duane and have lots of experience with Brnos.

What I REALLY LIKE, now hard to find, is the Parker-Hale alloy rings we used to buy for $12.95, I have these on one of my ZG-47s and they ROCK! Generally, I go with Talley's on my Brnos and have found them just outstanding.

My ZG-47 original 9.3x62 wears a Conquest 4x in those cheap Lynx steel two piece rings and this works perfectly and the cost is zippola.

If you happen to own a Zeiss/Jena ZF6 scope it's the perfect (and only) answer. I bought one NIB a few years back. The scope (opticly) is about as nice as anything you'll find on the market today.

That's not a purpose built ZG-47 mount, those mounts held rings. These were made for the later ZKK line of BRNO's but IMO they look pretty nice on the ZG's and 21H's.

I am looking for the base and the Zeiss scope like TC1 posted photos of.

They are not that great.
Have any of those been made in the last 30 years?
I don't know, but I am guessing they are about 30 years old and older.
That is the old Zeiss Jena 4X scope, with mounts made as a rail integral to the scope.
The knobs on the top of the scope are for elevation clicks and focus.

The windage is set by 4 screws in the front of the rail where it mates with the front action dovetail.

A heavy recoiling rifle will spin the focus knob a little with each shot.
You have to refocus between shots, unless you tape the focus knob in place with Gorilla Tape.
The optical quality of a Zeiss scope that old is not very good.

RIP, you couldn't be any more wrong. The focus adjustment has a center locking screw making it impossible to turn until unlocked. The optical qualities of the scope are fantastic even by today's standards. It's pretty obvious you have no real experience with these scopes. BTW, they're 6X not 4X.

I have one of this Scope/mount. It cames on a ZKK601, original mounted. Obviously, because of the shorter action on the 601, the mount is a little shorter than the ones in PW70 and TC1. The scope is optically and mecanically outstanding. Once focused, you can set the center screw on the focusing wheel. I have had another 601, much older with the peep sight in the rear bridge, also with a factory mounted Zeiss Jena scope from the late seventies. Optically the scopes were years appart! The coatings on the older one were entirely different. The resolution was similar but the brightnes much better in the new one.

What you quoted was a reply to RIP where he implied the scopes pictured or all were 4X. They aren't. The scopes were made in 4X and 6X. The model# were ZF4 and ZF6 respectively. They also made 3 different size mounts for the 3 size BRNO ZKK actions. The action model# was on the left side of the mount.

These mounts had two stops on them to keep them in place. The cut out on the rear bridge that a piece of the mount fit in and they also had a stop on the front that rested against the front bridge. It's a very robust design.

Oh, no worries then. Thought you meant they were only made in 6x. My mistake.
