Correct Names For Parts Of Stocks, Part II
Gentlemen,

I will not thank you for the replies, though I am sure you thought they were very funny.

It is becoming more apparent in the passing of time that when people have nothing intelligent to
add they feel they must add something unintelligent. That is unfortunate to those who frequent
this forum and others. When seeing this attitude they are put off, as am I.

I had asked a serious question for serious consideration by intelligent men in the business. If
you do not have an answer to this question I would appreciate it if you would not post on my
thread.

Tumbleweed
Now lemme see....there's the

(a) Expensive Part - the slab of fine walnut that you start with..

(b) the Tedious Part - where you take away everything that isn't a gun stock...

(c) the Dusty Part - where you sand it until it feels like a babys bottom..

(d) the Messy Part - where you apply the Linseed / Tung oil...

(e) the Finicky Part - where you painstakingly checker it...

(f) the Ahhhh! Part - when you look at it glowing on the gun rack, cradling that beautiful .375 H&H.

(g) and the Oh NO! Part - when you see that tiny crack appear in the wrist, right behind the tang... [Big Grin]

Those are about all the parts I'm aware of!
