dempseyRe: Richards Microfit stocks?
Marterius. Just make sure they are clear on what you want. I've had them send me the wrong thing twice. After a long wait it can be frustrating. They make it right but it's disapointing to wait and wait and then get something different than what you ordered.

MarteriusThanks a lot everyone for the interesting information and the nice pictures. I really like these stocks!

Mark in Oregon sent me two pictures of how his RM Old Classic looked at delivery, thanks Mark!

Jimno2506I understand they are little cheaper than Elk Ridge but I was scared away from Richards for the reasons expressed here. My stock was on time and done correctly from Elk Ridge.

ACRecurveMartin,
I have a stock from Richard's for a Model 70 that the bottom metal fit into when the stock came...no inletting done by me and gaps present. It can be fixed but won't look right. This is the only one I have of theirs and it will remain so until it becomes firewood.

djpaintlesACR, one option that you might consider if the stick is nice wood is to use different bottom metal. SunnyHill or Blackburn bottom metal is slightly larger than the factory and may clean-up some of the over cuts.......DJ

tiggertateIf you like that particular piece of wood you might also fill some gaps by glueing in thin slivers taken from somewhere else like under the barrel. It may take more than one layer but done right it will look ok.
I learned that one here on AR from the pros and it worked pretty well for me.

Russell E. TaylorSee if you can get Ann to send you pictures of her rifles with laminated stocks that came from Richard's Micro-Fit.
I have them on three of my rifles and I'm quite happy about what I got.
