perryRichard Microfit stocks
Does anyone know if they are still in business? I came across their website.
I'm looking for a semi finished stock for a diy project and they have good pricing and choices.
If they are out of business does anyone know of an outfit like them?

dpcdDid you call them?
They are very much still in business; I keep several stocks on order with them at any one time; they have gone to a new CNC inletting machine and their demand has resulted in longer than usual production lead times.
Their 99% inletted stocks are really good and require far less work than the usual "95%) inletting. I get the 1/2 inch barrel channels only.
I got my first Richards stock in 1970.

Russ GouldJust call them, they don't take orders online.
You should know that there are only certain actions that they offer 99% inletted. For anything off the beaten track you are looking at 95% which is a LOT more work.
They also have a rather byzantine set of "if this, then that" rules. You have to study their website very closely to figure out what the degrees of freedom are.
And as someone stated, their lead times are months not weeks.
But overall, good selection of inlets and stock patterns; good selection of wood types/grades as well.
