After seeing the thread on the dumoulin action I was wondering if anyone might know if you could use a bolt/safety from a dumoulin action in a Mark X action?

Hi Paul, I don't own a full size MarkX but do have a Dumoulin action and a FN rifle. I tried the Dumoulin bolt in the FN action this morning and it fits just fine. The safety would need to be re-timed. You may get lucky in that department but probably won't. The bolt fits fine though and funtions without any trouble. I would imagine it would be exactly the same with a Zastavia action.

Thanks. If it fits the FN it should fit the MKX I've used a FN bolt in a MKX years ago. Hadn't thought of the timing but it makes since.

Thanks for taking the time. Don't remember if I said it but that rifle you posted using the Dumoulin action was fantastic.

Now will the dumoulin extractor fit the FN bolt? That is the question I have been pondering...
