Synthetic stock/forearm for Ruger #1
Anyone know where I can get a synthetic stock and forearm fro a Ruger # 1 ? Thanks in advance.

MPI has synthetic stocks for the Ruger #1. I've debated getting a "synthie" for mine, so if you get one, please let us know how you like it.

Dear Crowrifle[Lars] I have used the MPIs a few times and they are pretty good. I put a set on a Sav. 99 and it took about as much work as you would for wood. The fit at the receiver/tang left a bit to be desired but that is why they invented epoxy/micro-spheres.The same was true for the #1. But they do work. Seems the cost was almost 200.00 for the blanks. Aloha, Mark[in Ore]

Recently I saw a Bill Wiseman, (College Station, Tx) R.#1 in .30-378 Wby. with a syn. stock which looked great. I don't know what brand, but I keep meaning to call him to ask.
