POI and reticle?
I heve a great 375 and it shoots great. Leica 1.75x6. It is mounted with the reticle slightly rotated clockwise. I just realized it recently when a buddy pointed it out to me.I guess I move my head to the stock some rather than stock to my head. Interesting POI. 1.5 inches high at 100 and dead on, even on and 4 inches left at 200 yards. I don't have a 300 yard range but on the few 300 yard shots I have done it seemed about 8 inches left and the text book 9 inches down. Is this due to the rotated reticle? Any ideas? "D"

Yep thats it. The only time you can rotate a scope in its rings & it stay on is if the cross hairs were dead centered in the scope tube to begin with. If they wern't centered the cross hairs will rotate in a circular arch. Think of it as a compass with the points together then as they are opened up the circle gets bigger.

I always level scopes by placing the rifle on a leveled table with a bipod and sight on a 4 foot carpenters level placed downrange to level the crosshairs while tightening the ring screws. It's very precise.
