tiggertateIf it's Sako there should be two rib retainers and I only see one; my thought was the glare was hiding the second.

MasteriflemanThat is a bolt from a Paker-Hale rifle, I have one just like it.

Jonathan TomlinsonLooks also like a bolt for a BSA (Birmingham Small Arms) CF-2 rifle

Jonathan TomlinsonThe more I look at it the more I am certain it's from a BSA CF 2, the small brass protrusin at the top of the bolt shroud is a cocking indicator, if it is a BSA there should be no knurling around the tear drop on the bolt knob, I think the Sako had a rolled knurl

tdobeshI've got one of those BSA's, well actually mine is a Herters brand BSA, but same thing and I'd have to say that was my first inclination as well. As to the caliber it came out of God only knows especially with no bolt face dims.

Don't know the length of bolt, but the short Sako (.308 length) actions only use one rib retainer

WoodjackCant make out a split left lug, plus the lug does not go completely to the face of the bolt, so I doubt its Sako. Put my $$ on BSA aswell.

Recoil RobI have no idea about the bolt's origin but I believe BNR stands for British Nitro Proof.
