How to accurately counter bore from .2985" to .300"?
I have a Parker Hale .308 Masuser barrel that measures .3985" [I should have typed .2985"] across the riflings.

I have cut the barrel down down and am putting on another gun.

I am having trouble finding a cheap 7.62x25mm reamer that will work.
1) The .298" floating pilot reamer is $175
2) I can rent a .300" solid pilot reamer for $25.

Is there an accurate way to get the bore to open to .300"?

Go to reamerrentals.com and rent a piloted reamer with the correct pilot.

Do you mean .30985?

The barrel is .308" across the grooves.
It is .2985" across the riflings [.300" is standard].

The problem is that the standard .300"- pilot will not fit in the bore.
