Pre 64 Winchester value M-70
Seems like prices have gone up a good bit of late....

Would like to know what you think the value should be for Pre 64 Winchester Model 70, standard rifle, all original, no modifications, and condition of 95% or better. Production time frame early 1950's to 1960. Calibers as follows

1) 270win, 308win, & 30-06
2) 300 H&H
3) 300 and 338 win. mag
4) 375 H&H

Do you think values will go up, stay the same, or downward over the next 5 years.....Thanks

Well, this is just my opinion but I have sold several in the last couple of months.

1. these will start around 800. and end up on the high end 1050-1100
2 1000-1250
3 1800- 2700+
4 2500 and up depending on how bad the buyer wants it

I just sold a unfired FW 06 for 1500. plus the S+Ins

Jim:

Not sure if you've seen this, and this won't help with a value, but it is a good reference website for the pre-64 Model 70 rifles:

I have been buying guns at the same shows as Jimmy, but I have been looking the cheaper pre 64's:

I much prefer "cheaper" also but keep in mind a 95% gun is pretty minty and not often found cheaper.
