What do you mean the barrel keeps pulling out the front pillar? When you bed your forends, don't you epoxy the pillar to the forearm?

yes i use epoxy. it still pulls the front pillar away from the forend after a couple of shots.

So in other words the forearm screw and pillar remain attached to the barrel but the forearm itself pulls loose and slips over them? Have you thought about using a flat washer between the screw head and the pillar?

You could try cutting grooves around the pillars so the epoxy can flow into the grooves and essentially lock the pillars to the forend.

Any Machine shop should be able to whip you out some pillars with a flange or "head" on one end. If nothing else, PM me your contact info and I can make you some. For a nominal fee of course. Big Grin

good idea on the washer. counter sink and epoxy it in place behind the pillar.

thanks,

Bead or sand blasting gives excellent grip along with grooves. Clean it good with alcohol.

westpac,

counter bored and epoxied washers behind the pillars. seems to have cured the problem.
