The 1000th post on heat treating..
I have a few simple questions..

When should I heat treat the action - I assume after I have it ground, polished and squared?

What hardness do I request?

What are the odds of the action warping?

Blanchards seams to be highly regarded and I was going to use them unlees someone gives me a reason ot to.. This is a VZ that will end up a 9.3*62

VZ24's are heat treated just fine.
You wouldn't be wasting your money, but there is just no need for it.
If you want to get it done, do all of your metalwork first.

Polish before treating to 320. Then, after it comes back with a touch of scale or residue, Give a quick final polish.
