CZ Brno
Just purchased a CZ Brno ( model ZBK 110 ) in .22 Hornet. It has a grooved receiver that will accept a scope mount, but I am having no luck in finding one. Can anyone suggest a source? Thanks in advance.

crowrifle,

EAW, in Germany makes scope mounts that will fit your rifle.

I have no idea who might sell them in the US.

crowrifle,

Don't CZ make mounts as well???

If you can't get them in the US, suitable mounts should be easy to find in the UK...If you want more help drop me an email with the details ie tube diameter and height required
and I'll see what i can do...I probably won't be able to reply until Friday as I am away for a few days from tonight....

Warne also makes Brno CZ rings, and they look good, and are quite strong:

Conetrol makes appropriate bases:

Millet can also help you: Their rings are quite OK (but just not enough to work with heavy recoil like my .375 H&H):

A real problem when trying to find bases for a BRNO .22 Hornet is that the same, or almost the same rifled is made in several models with quite different numbers. My old one from 1949 has model number ZBK 557 (or something like that) and the new Brno Fox .22H ZBK 527.

Now you have got a ZBK 110 (www.zbrojovka.com/a_zzbk.htm), a modern "rook rifle". I think it will be the same mount as for the kombination gun ZKM 611, which can be taken off and put back without destroying the POI. But the mount is expensive - it costs nearly as much as half the rifle.

Ive seen one of these rifles. They will never win a beauty contest, but they are very nice balanced and practical. And they have the advantage of beeing silently loaded.

I have a set or two around here, either Stith or the originals that I will sell but they are not going to be cheap, if interrested.

The price in Europe for the ZBK 110 is about $300 for the standard with beech stock and about $350-400 with walnut.

As of last Saturday (9/22), Ed's Gunshop in Tass, N.C. had CZ company mounts as well as Warne. As you know, Tass is in your section of NC, near Pinehurst.

Crowrifle:

How do you like the ZBK 110? It looks like a nifty little rifle. Is it well made? How is fit and finish on the action? Does it seem to lock up tightly?

Thanks,

Jordan
