TankerI am familiar with Turnbull's. I thought there might be others to compare with. I also need a source for Marlin wood. Any ideas?

srtFor the wood try Precision Gunstocks which are very affordable but only come in straight grain walnut or Macon Gunstocks or macon which has some nice figured wood. Both are shaped very close to final fit.

YUMANMy 39A is with John Farner AKA toomanytools, Eagle machine Corrales NM. I trust he will do as good with it as he has done with two other jobs he has done for me.

M1TankerFor Marlin wood there is none finer than George Peterson @ Treeebone Carving. He has about every pattern you can imagine when it comes to single shots and lever actions. Ihave used thers bit Treebones are by far the easiest to fit and need the least amount of work. He has thousands of blanks on hand also.

buckeyeshooterdepending on the gun's age and model, marlin might reblue it and put new stocks on it for you.

TankerIt's a Model 1894 made in 1894. I doubt Marlin could perform the work I want. I need original type finishing.
