Tapered scope base...
I have a Sako TRG-S and want to get a tapered scope base that can handle weaver mounts. I would like to tap the rail for a solid ring/base/gun mount as I've heard that the 'angle lock' designs tend to slip and don't come in a tapered form. I'm looking for at least 15MOA and up to around 25MOA. What tapered scope base would you recomend?

You don't care for the Burris Signature series offset rings?

Will they hold up to HEAVY recoil?

I have a set of baer tapered bases on my .300wm that are holding up fine.Had to run the elevation on the scope allmost all the way down to get a 200yd zero. I got them from bruno's shooter supply.Good luck!

Hey'
Talley Mfg,www.talleyrings.com,now makes bases for Sako rifles. It is a Weaver style base, but better design.I have been replacing,my rings and bases with Talleys.Very strong, and well made.Have had no slippage, ando not expect any.
