loose CZ527 receiver screws weren't loose
I posted a few days back about the receiver screws repeatedly loosening on my 527. Closer inspection showed that the screws weren't loose, but even tightened, the barrel and receiver would rock back and forth in the stock. I don't know if the metal was on a high spot inside the inletting- the rear screw hole in the stock has a rolled metal sleeve the screw passes through, the front hole is much larger than need be for it's screw. I wonder if it takes a sleeve, also, and it wasn't installed.

What I've done is glass the stock from the front of the receiver ring to the magazine cut out, did all the things one is supposed to do as far as masking the recoil lug, etc. I opened the area up with a dremel tool.

Since these rifles have a good reputation for accuracy without fiddling with them, I didn't do a complete bedding job, although I imagine when it's cured I should install a pillar for the front screw.

Hope I ain't ending up with a glue-in Smiler

I've had my 527, in 223, since 1998 and I did notice that it wasn't bedded properly. Since floating the barrel it's a real tack driver.

Good Luck
