This is an appreciation post for Rod. I just finished up my Martini Cadet re-barreling using your set of explicate (this also applies to some words I used) set of instructions, and I have decided that I will never-never-never do another one. Re-barrel make a new extractor fit everything up. I am going to stick to Mausers, or Remington or Winchester, the easy ones. Its a good thing its my personal gun for all the time I had in it. So here's to ya

I'm glad they were of some use to you. I actually drew them up mostly for myself because in the past, every time I did one it was a re-learning experience. (I only do one every 5 years or so) I figured that by committing them to (the cloud) they will always be there for me. I'll probably retire or die in 10 or 20 years so I'd hate for all that suffering to go to waste so maybe others could get some use out of them too.

One thing's certain. Most guys look at them, or pull the barrel off and look it all over and unless they're doing it for a living and HAVE TO DO IT. They screw the original barrel back on and say: "FAWK DAT" Or they put the pieces in a box and that's where it stays until they die. You've got a lot of balls to fight through it and finish it my friend ! ! ! LOL

but but but i love those little martinis . and just added another one to the hive. this one in 219 zipper imp. i wish my photobucket wasn't so flockedup cause the thing is quite a work of art. that said i'd rather rebarrel than fit a snapps extracetor

Yeah, well, I suppose I'd rather re-barrel a Martini than take a punch in the head from a world class boxer. But I did have to think about it for a while !

Anytime I get the urge to become a gunsmith, I read this forum and quell the urge. Then I take donuts to my gunsmith.
