Best options for selling a rifle

Not sure what forum was best, but this seems to be the "catch-all;" here goes:

I handled a stainless/laminate Ruger in 300 Win Mag and was smitten with the desire to own one, instantly. I have a neglected small bore rifle, that I would like to finance this purchase with. What have you found to be the best ($$) selling options? Newspaper classified (for a gun at least) is not a good idea in my locale.

Just tell your gun freinds that you have one for sale someone well buy it. No need to go to a lot of trouble. Or run a add in the local paper. It well be gone in a heart beat no need for FFL or anything.

I stopped selling guns on the net. Way too many tire kickers for my taste. I now go to a dealer and pay them their cut so I don't have to deal with some of the things I have in the past. Other then that Guns America would be the way to go on the net.

I attached a sample of a typical guns america sale below. Read it from the bottom up. I left the names and addresses out, but you should be able to make sense of it. It starts at the bottom where he asks if shipping is included, this is a friends gun, not mine, he sent me a copy.

As New In Box. Not brand new, I bought it from a dealer. It has been fired, the factory does that before it ships it. I don't want it anymore that's why i'm selling it.

Why are you buying a gun online when you can go to a dealer?

Is this a brand new gun that has never been fired? If so, why are you selling a brand new gun if you are not a dealer?

What I have is a Savage 110, right hand, 243 win, with a 4-12x50mm BSA scope. Extremely accurate; why selling: just finished a Mauser in 270, and need a good shotgun more than another small caliber rifle. Buy it!
