308SakoWhat a wonderful rifle, and wonderful stories about a man and an era of fine riflemaking. This thread has been a great entertainer. WOW once again for the rifle.

ForrestBGuys, that is special work on a special rifle. You've really outdone yourself for a departed friend, there's no higher reward than that. I hope I get to see the rifle in person one day.

CustomstoxForrest, I was thinking of recruiting you to help with the auction. Or at least guide me and you know how impossible that can be.

Oh, don't worry about a thing; I'll help you out with the raffle. When you guys are finished, send the rifle down here and I'll get right on that raffle thing.
Seriously, I'll do whatever you ask to help you out. A raffle ought to sell out quickly. Collecting payment and keeping track of tickets was a chore, but it's pleasant work when it's for a worthy cause. Call me when your ready and I'll tell you all I know (it'll be a short call).

<slancey>Anyone got an idea of the finished weight of the rifle?
What's the barrel diameter at the muzzle?
Thanks much.

Glen71Don't know what the tickets will sell for, but I want the first $100 worth.
