Atkinson & Marquette or Atkinson Gun Co. Sporter
Anybody know anything about Atkinson & Marquette or Atkinson Gun Co. A fella I met has a Mexican Mauser Customized by these people apparently in the 50s that he wants to sell and I know nothing about them. Can anyone shed some light on them and their guns?

Thanks,

RJS

I had a .257 built on a Springfield action by them for awhile....very nice classic rifle. The Springfield action was very nicely modified with a good trigger and the wood work was very, very nice. The rifle had quite a few rounds thru it when I bought it but it was still accurate enough. Only problem was it was a lot heavier than it needed to be and I eventually swapped it off for somelthing or other. Nice rifles.

This use to be A&M gun works in Arizona. Atkinson made my first .416 barrel. A&M are no longer in business they seperated and went the seperate ways. They both did good work.
