Crossbolts installed, just in case.

sambarman338Forgive my ignorance, Rich: how does the jig work?

dpcdI love machined parts. But I install sling studs by eye. perfectly.

sambarman338Thanks, I guess a drill could easily slip while making the hole without it.

dpcdYes, I actually have a set of brad point bits but rarely use them; but those would work; but you still have to mark a starting point.
I just eyeball them. Dead straight and true.

customboltPretty cool little rig.
The milling of ones own creation is the fun part. Or as some dead actor once said, "because I can"!
Neat jig for drilling steel round stock wood dowels or copper tubing or rod stock. Trust me, toss it and you'll need it 8 years later.
