Crossbolts installed, just in case.

Forgive my ignorance, Rich: how does the jig work?

I love machined parts. But I install sling studs by eye. perfectly.

Thanks, I guess a drill could easily slip while making the hole without it.

Until this thread, a jig had never occurred to me.

Bradpoint bits.

Yes, I actually have a set of brad point bits but rarely use them; but those would work; but you still have to mark a starting point.
I just eyeball them. Dead straight and true.

How to complicate something so simple.

Pretty cool little rig.
The milling of ones own creation is the fun part. Or as some dead actor once said, "because I can"!

Neat jig for drilling steel round stock wood dowels or copper tubing or rod stock. Trust me, toss it and you'll need it 8 years later.

Life itself is a gift. Live it up if you can.
