What kind of work are you looking to have done?

CS,
I live near Louisville and don't know of anyone. I've tried all the local parts replacers with varying degrees of satisfaction. For real custom work, action/barrel work, blueing etc I usually end up sending things off.

Mr. Justice,

I see that you are from Winchester. I just returned from a trip to visit with my parents in Irvine. Small world. Anyway, I recommend that you contact Craig Click in Betsy Lane, KY. His phone # is (606)478-2574. He does great work.

gsp,
I have several small projects I'd like to get done..... Model 70 Style safety installed on a mauser...sights installed on another rifle.
Kentucky Nimrod,
Sounds like you've had about the same luck I've had..... I've tried a few of the Louisville area boys myself.... I send my stuff off too.
Tsquare,
How in the world did you end up in Az.... it gets HOT out there! I'll get in touch with Mr. Click..... both sides of my family are from Johns Creek, so I pass though Betsy Lane a couple times a year. Thanks, CSJ

This may seem like a stretch, but let me suggest that you call Marc Morganti at Gemini Custom. He is a master of 1911 pistolsmithing. I've used him myself, when I lived in the greatest state in the country. He won't know how to do your work, but he might have a name for you. Marc is a member of the American Pistolsmith Guild.

Dear CSJ:

Just lucky I guess. It does get a bit warm around here but the absence of humidity makes up for it. Give Craig a try, he's a great riflemaker and a nice guy to boot.
