40XB-BR trigger
Got a Rem 40XB-BR in .223 that I use for prairie dogs. The trigger will not adjust below 2-1/2 lbs. Am familiar with Rem trigger adjustments and have done many of them. This is a stumper. Anyone have an idea, or can recommend a good trigger smith? bewildered

Jim's out of the rifle business now(as far as I know), and doing trigger services on 700's through Ebay. For the money, it is a first class job.

I've fiddled with them myself for years, and thought I had it down...until I sent one to him. It really was a marked improvement.

prof242,

Try Robar (http://www.robarguns.com) their smiths do as good a job on Remington triggers as anyone out there.

Thank you, Gentlemen, for your quick response. Will be sending this trigger out today.

My M40XBBR came with the Remington three-lever BR trigger set at 1.0 lb from the factory.

Your trigger sounds like a two-lever hunting rifle trigger, which of course can be fit to the rifle.
