Has anyone every purchased one of these from Jim Wisner. What has been your experience with it?

He did most, if not all the metalwork on the anniversary 30-06 rifle for the Guild this year.......I think that pretty much says it all.

I have a pre 64 National Match action that needed a new bolt. The firing pin hole had enlarged and I believe there might have been another problem or two. Anyway I ordered a Wisner bolt. Now the bolt requires a real gunsmith to do the final fitting. I do not have the tools or expertise to do that, but since the rifle was going through a rebuild, I sent the bolt to Randy Gregory Medford WI 54451 715-748-4427 to have a new barrel and the bolt installed. Along with a lot of other work. Anyway, the bolt has served me fine. But, it is not drop in, remember that.

Well, the reason I ask is because I have a very nice pre-64 barreled receiver with no bolt whatsoever. So I would have to buy the whole thing, every part, plus a trigger.

I noticed on the website that it states that the bolt has to be fitted by Wisners, which would be fine with me.

I would look at it more like I would get to have the bolt fitted by Wisner. He is a riflemaker's rifle maker, and is arguably the leading authority on the technical details of the pre-64 model 70...

I wish there was a way I could get one of those David Miller Model 70 triggers.

We are currently in the long process of updating our website. With over 1500 lines in the catlalog section, this is a long process.

Sorry to say I no longer have any pre 64 M70 triggers or bolt bodies left. I have fitted the last two bodies in the past few months and simply do not know IF I will be making any more.

All good things will come to an end sooner or later.
