Timney does not make a trigger for a Brno mod. 21, but one of the Mauser triggers does work, I cannot remember which one it is, I got the "Brno" model but its a no fit for the early Brnos..Im thinking its a std. mod. 98 trigger but not sure..The Timney "expert" thought it would fit, but it didn't..

Timney Sportsman GEW98's have the trigger positioned further forward than their Sportsman FN's if that helps.

I got the one that says Brno, but its not correct, but I modified it to fit and its working great..I had to remove some metal that was contacting the floorplate..a little touchy as I had no idea how much metal was there to remove but I got it done..

Mine had the bottom plate notched for clearance. Same result as what you did.
