Want to take a bit of the rise, or snap, out of a rifle's recoil and am thinking of using a pitch buttstock spacer ( the stock could be a bit longer, also, therefore the basic spacer idea). Do I want the spacer thicker at the heel or the toe?

To increase pitch, the spacer would need to be thicker at the heel.
