Did a chamber casting with sulfur, which came out great but now I have little shards of sulfur in the nooks and crannies. What is the best/easiest way of getting it clean- hot water, dental picks, WD40, fire, ?? I think I can get most of it with aggressive use of king sized toothpicks but wondered how the smart guys do it.

Break Free aerosol gun scrub. Point the tube down the action and spray it all out.

Why did you use sulphur? I know sulphur is used for chamber casts as well as Cerrosafe, but never having made a chamber cast, which one works better? Thanks.

The smart guy's use cerrosafe... It is less of a mess, clean and easy to work with, and comes out all at once.

The main advantage of Sulfur that I can see is that my local drugstore carries it, now I have several neat looking casts that I can keep on hand to check for throat erosion in the future.

This is done on a 20 Tactical wildcat that I bought a couple months ago and now am working on getting it all put together. Now I can send a chamber cast off to the die maker so he can check it aganist his dies and make sure the gun is chambered to SAAMI specs. Or at least I think, I've been pondering maybe having a try at making the dies myself, might be neat to do that.
