Persian 98/29 Mauser???
I have the opportunity to acquire a couple of Persian 98/29 Mausers. These are in like new condition, Farci' markings and all. Since I am still learning the finer points of the Mauser 98, my question is. How do these rate compared to the various other incarnations of the 98, say the Argentine 09 and other desirable Mausers?
If I am correct in my information these were manufactured by BRNO under contract for The Persian government. Am I right? Also I have seen in print what is referred to as the Pursian Mauser. Is this the same thing as the Persian and a misspelling, or yet another variation of the 98?

CZ-BRNO Built these for Persia(Iran) & they are a fantastic action for your favorite sporter, or if in good condition a DAM nice gun for your collection!

They are fine Mausers. Don't hesitate buying them if the price is right.

DITTO!!!

I have one my wife bought me for my birthday. As smooth and slick an action as they come and the finish work is out of this world. Take a very close look at the front sights, those were machined in place my friend, not added on. That is incredible in a military rifle.
