Bolt jeweling question
Hello
I found a Bsquare fixture that lets you jewel your bolt. It has an index for rotation, but I was wondering how you set up so that you can index across the length of the bolt. I can access a drill press. But it does not have an indexable vise, like on a mill. Any tricks?

I go by eye down the length of the bolt; edge of swirl to center of swirl.

I also have the B-Square jig.

I put the jig in a cross-slide vice on my drill press. Cross-slide vices can be had pretty cheap, I paid $25 for my cheap Chinese version. HarborFreight (www.harborfreight.com ) has some. They come in handy for doing all kinds of things.

A few hours of pull-the-drill-press-handle-turn-the-vice-handle-repeat can make you a little batty...
