bbl. reboring
Gentlemen,

I posted this note to a thread in the dr forum but thought I'd post it here as well. We recently had Delta gunshop rebore a bbl for us. It wa a 28" 1/2 oct ribbed bbl in 8.15x46r and they rebored it to 9.3x62. Allen Baker is the man we dealt with and both he and the company rank four star with us. Turn around time was less than two weeks and the work was perfect, absolutely flawless.

Dale,

You'll have to tell us all how the re-bored barrel shoots once you get the rifle up and running. Actually, what rifle is it on?

I just love those old German rifles with the matted full-ribbed barrels. Been looking for one myself to use on a 9.3 Mauser project.

cheers,

Delta rebored an old custom Mauser barrel for me and rifled it in 9.3x62. I had one of our custom barrel makers inspect it. He said it was flawless after inspecting it both with and without a borescope.

Hey Stu,

I got the bbl. with intentions of making a 98 sporter but just hate to cut the bbl. off and I don't want a 28" sporter so just laid it back. The front ramp is part of the rib and it's a killer. Really haven't decided what we'll do yet. mabe a singleshot?
