hunter_fishSavage warranty work??
I bought a Savage 111 30.06 about a month ago. It seemed that the bolt was a little stiff to begin with, I thought it just needed cleaning and oiled a tad, as I do with my new guns. I shot factory loads to try and get my scope adjusted and I would have some that it was pretty hard to open the bolt, I stopped shooting and examined the brass, and measured the brass. They all seemed fine and even then with putting the brass back in the chamber it did not stick, unless I dry fired. With an empty chamber, upon dry firing the bolt is really sticky to open. Well, since it appeared to have this problem from the factory, I took it back to the gun shop, to have it exchanged or sent back. It has been right at a week and half, and rifle season for deer is rapidly approaching. I was a bit upset the gun shop didn't do a straight exchange. How long does Savage usually take on repairs? Thanks

GeorgeSFirst, check to see if they even got it. The gun shop may still have it.
If Savage has it, impress upon them that hunting season is here and you need the rifle.
They MAY expedite repairs, but I'd line up another gun in case there are unforeseen delays.

hunter_fishThanks, I have great news, I just recieved my repaired rifle back today, less than 2 weeks. I am pleased with the quick return rate. The repair didn't cost me a thing. Savage put a smile on my face. Great warranty work, and great shooting guns.
