I thought this would be the hottest action in the line-up. It's certainly the best bargain (even at full price.) Oh well, I guess when fall comes around more people will start thinking about it again.

This big action is a heck of a deal. I priced a new commercial Magnum Mauser action for SigAmerica. Surprise! $1,500 US!

At $550 this action is the best bang for the buck!

I think those of us who got one on order will need to order a couple more. [Smile]

I can tell you all this, Brian (the owner of MRC) is taking every bit of information he has available to him on the PH and Mini action out with him camping this weekend. He is really excited about getting this thing going and wants to make sure everything that you want in an action is incorporated. Hopefully I'll have some kind of drawings or something available soon for everyone to drool over [Big Grin]

250 actions to go... Here's an idea, albeit maybe a lame one at best. If MRC could put up some kind of image or set of images that could be downloaded and printed out on our home printers showing various engineering renderings, much like the pictures on the website, maybe those of us who have an action on order could print them out, put them in a sleeve binder and take them to our local gunshop and ask that they be put in front of the public such that said public could come to know that these actions are available and at such an agreeable price. I never knew that MRC even existed until I stumbled across their ad in SGN almost by pure accident. I hadn't picked up an issue in years and did so just for poops and grins. And there it was: a lefty stainless action for far less than the rent money. I walked away from the mag, but couldn't get the idea out of my head. I got up the next day, bought the mag and picked up the phone. I'm sure if more people just knew it even existed, they buy one in short order. We can help MRC get the word out if they'd provide some images we could put before the gunshop public. If I were taking the pictures, I'd use a macro lens and take many, many up-close and personal pictures showing the exterior and especially the insides of the thing from every conceiveable angle so that nobody could ever ask "What does this part look like-- I can't see it in the photo; it's too small..." or "it's covered by" this part or that thing, etc. If the public knows it's available, they'll buy one. I looked at several other actions and all of them were just out of sight; the cheapest lefty was four times the cost of the MRC and it was CM steel. I know putting up pictures is costly when it comes to bandwidth, but if it could be done it may very well pay off big. Maybe they can put them up in such a way that we can just download the images from some address and they never appear on the website. I don't know much about this kind of thing, but I do know if you tell enough people about something, a few of them will want to hear about what you are saying and spread the word (think pagan Rome becoming Christian). Just my four cents worth. Lastly, I'm C03-0085.

rootbeer,
As soon as I have some definate drawings or computer generated images available I will post them for all to see. The owner of the company is going over the PH this weekend so that we have something more definate for everyone to see. And if any of you guys have any ideas of what you want to see in the PH action let me know and I will forward your suggestions to him
