Cliff Lyle'smith suggestions
I am going to re-barrel a Tikka T3 from .243 to .257 Roberts and would like some suggestions of smiths who have done work for any of you and would receive your recommendation.
Any help?
Jim Kobe in Bloomington, Mn has done a lot of this kind of work for me, on Sako and Rem 700 actions. His work is first class. I recommend him. Phone 952 884 6031.

Canyon Sporting Arms in Canyon Lake Texas has built or refurbished 2 of my 257 Roberts rifles. I am pleased with not only his work, but the ability to be able to contact and talk with him. No BS just good information!

butchlambertCliff,
Check my rifle in the custom forum. It is the 9.3x62 and Kobe did a lot of work on it.

Cliff LyleThanks to all. I'll check both sources. I seem to remember Tip was so backed up with jobs a while back that he wasn't taking on any new work. I'll call both to see schedules.
It's not a difficult job, just want to use someone reputable.

Cliff LyleIt sounds like I need to get some more rifles to re-barrel...Lots of good rifle smiths out there. Thanks to all who recommended.
I am in in touch with Jim Kobe, partially because some people on here whom I respect recommended him and partially because I was reminded that I have seen his work before. I'll let you guys know of my progress.
Thanks again.
