LA7mmStock Making
I currently have a nice chunk of walnut that I'd like to have worked to fit my left handed MRC 1999 action. Other than Richards Microfit, who else can I call to discuss?
Thanks

NO, NO, NO, I would carve one from a pocket knife before I'd use them, and yes I have used them many years ago!
Do a search and you'll find top rate people here that can do it, and do it correctly!

John Vest in Roseburg, Oregon has a duplicator made by that fellow from Idaho (jeeze, I hate getting old---can't recall the name!). Anyway, the machine itself does very, very precise inletting and John is careful and does nice work. He can sometimes take along while and he charges a pretty penny for the very precise inlet, but to me its worth it rather than spend alot of time scraping and sanding and such.
Sorry, but I don't know John's phone number, however he is a member of the Custom Gunmaker's Guild.
Good luck with your project.

LA7mmThanks all... I'd like to take my blank and have someone duplicate a LH model 70 stock. I understand that the MRC 1999 will fit well into that pattern. Will look up the gentlemen mentioned above.

Recoil RobThe bottom metal of a 1999 SA is not exactly the same as a M70, not sure about the LA's. Just an FYI.

Dall85I have used Donnie Gemes at Show-Me Gunstocks many times for rifle and shotgun. He is a master, fast and very reasonable. this is a semi finished stock, not a drop in!
