Another Damn Break-in Question....
Okay guys, here's the situation:

I have a 22-250 that I've acquired one piece at a time. Two weeks ago, I had a gunsmith assemble this Heinz 57 rifle. He blueprinted, squared, lapped, and bed the action then mated the barrel to it. Now, the barrel is a used barrel, but it's chamber was re-cut and was re-crowned as well.

So, my question for you all is this: How much break-in do you expect there will be? I'm gonna use my standard break-in proceedure, but I'm not real sure what to expect.... Except for (of course) incredible accuracy . From what I know, the barrel has maybe been shot 200 rounds prior.

I do use break in procedures but your barrel is already broke in? and the chamber doesn't effect the condition of the barrel....just work up a new load and fireform brass at the same time and find "the" load for that gun...good luck and good shooting!!

My sole concern, would be establishing a bore cleanliness baseline. Determine that it is in fact CLEAN and weigh pending results from there.

I hope she's a zinger............
