Tex21Lee- Enfield Forearm Length
I am in the process of restocking and generally refurbishing an old No.4 Mk I that I have really enjoyed plinking with.
The question I lay before the house is: about how long should I make the forearm (in total)? And, about how long should the forend tip be? I am planning on adding an ebony tip.
Thanks all,

Bill SovernsRule of thumb is 1/2 the length of the barrel minus 1 inch. But thats just a guideline. Make the forearm length to your liking.

Rick 0311Bill’s formula would put the tip of the stock right in the center of the military sling swivel/barrel band recess on the military stock... if using the military length barrel. That would make the fore stock 17 ½ inches in total length.
