BISCUTREAMERS
I went with a Stiller Predator Action for a 6.8spc build. I'm planning on a Hart barrel.
Now, my smith does not have a 6.8spc reamer (no suprise there). Any special places recommended for reamers? My smith will use any competent company's reamer so I wanted to see what you guys have to say.
He will be keeping the reamer and charge me half the cost.

Alberta CanuckThere are many good reamer makers out there. My favorites at the momemnt are JGS in Coos Bay, Oregon, and ForGreen's in Texas. Henrickson (SP?), also in Oregon, is one of the very best in this nation, but there is often a wait time which many people don't want to endure. Dave Kiff of Pacific Tool (Oregon again) is very competent. In the middle of the country, many folks swear by Clymer.
It is kind of like barrel makers, only more so. The folks who make good barrels or good reamers almost never turn out a bad one. The bad ones are present for a year or two, and then you look around and there they are....gone!
If you are ever looking at used reamers and find one made by "Elliot" in good shape, you have a real jewel in your hands. The late Red Elliot had a reputation as the best chamber reamer maker ever. But he never lived to see the 6.8 cartridge.

BISCUTMy smith is comfortable with Pacific and a 6.8spc AI can be readily had.
